I wake up this morning to find that I have been blog tagged. I have to offer up 5 things that my readers don't know about me and then tag 5 more bloggers. So, here goes.
1: In 1992 I was in Venezuela and got caught in a coup d'etat attempt that occurred the day we were supposed to leave the country. Myself and about 40 other college students were trapped in our hotel for 3 days before government control was regained. Good thing there was no rum shortage...
2: I almost died while scuba diving in Aruba. On a reef dive, at about 60 feet deep, my rented BCD malfunctioned and filled with air, shooting me straight to the surface. Had I been much deeper (as I would have been if this occurred a few minutes later), I would have definitely ended up with the bends. I did get one hell of a head ache though!
3: I payed my own way through college (and made a ton of money) selling books door to door as a summer job. Working for Southwestern, I spent 2 summers in Seattle, 1 summer in Sacramento and another in beautiful Fargo, ND. I learned a lot about people, a lot about selling, and the whole experience put a lot of "hair on my chest."
4: I am a Closet Deadhead. I saw a ton of shows from '88 (my first) until Jerry's death and I still listen to the music quite a bit today.
5: I've always wanted to be a spy. So much so that my uncle gave me English-Russian flashcards for Xmas when I was 10. My favorite movie to this day is, "No Way Out" with Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman. Its the best spy flick ever...
Now that my part is done, I will Tag these guys:
